At CCCUCC we take seriously the spiritual development of children. You could certainly find larger church programs for children elsewhere, but you would be hard pressed to find a church that values children more than we do.
Here kids are known by name and their gifts are nurtured and blessed. They learn that God loves them and that loving others makes life meaningful. At our church, children are taught to discover their own faith and that it is a good thing to ask questions, even ones adults are sometimes afraid to ask. We regularly plan activities to involve kids in serving others and helping people in need.
Children are welcome to remain with their families during worship (we are glad to have babies in worship and we don’t mind if they cry), but nursery care for infants through preschool is available. Children in kindergarten through elementary school begin worship with their families, have a brief “children’s sermon” as a part of the service and then leave for Sunday School. They rejoin their families following worship.
Our interactive Sunday school lessons give opportunities for spiritual growth to engage your child’s mind and heart and reflect the values we believe in and hold dear as outlined throughout this website. We have a “Safe Child” policy at CCCUCC, which means two adults are with children at all times they are in our care. Also teachers have participated in “Safe Chlld” training and submitted to background checks.
